You have just finished writing a great song and you are so excited!  You know that your song is the next
hit song for Martina McBride but . . .
NOW WHAT?

There are many ways to get your song(s) out to other artists  and entertainers in the business.  You can get the Nashville
Business Directory and send out your song(s) to every manager, producer, publisher and artist listed; send out random
packages to contacts you find on various pitch sheets, only to get a return in the mail that says “Unsolicited Mail";  come
to Nashville and spend a week going up and down music row with your songs . . . or you can work with a publisher to
ensure your song(s) are ready to be presented, that, among other considerations,  you have a quality presentation and
the copyright is secure.  It is your choice.

You may ask:  Why don’t the big labels and producers listen to  my song?   One of the main reasons is that they  prefer to
do business with people
they already  know or know of through someone else in the music business;  and, for the most
part, they do not accept unsolicited songs.   In  Nashville,  for example,  there are many talented songwriters, who prior
to becoming established
had an opportunity, through a  music business connection and introduction,  to present their
songs for consideration.   For this reason, usually much time, effort and disappointment can
be avoided if you work with
a publisher that believes in you and your music,  is willing to take time to develop your song
to its fullest potential and
produce a marketable recording of your song.

The music business is built on trust and developing long lasting relationships.  Therein lies the “publisher” who has
established relationships in the music business  and is continually building new relationships with artists, producers, musicians and labels and other professionals in the music industry.

A publisher’s main obligation is to  generate  revenue from your song.   The publisher is your marketing representative
in the music business.   When you, the songwriter,  make money so does the publisher.   It is a win-win situation!

I look forward to hearing your music and visiting with you about your vision and goals!
